Constructed in the Brandywine Valley historic district, the building form was derived from the historic gunpowder mills and vernacular farm buildings that line the Brandywine River. The center accommodates 346 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. The building includes a full service commercial kitchen; a large indoor activity room; and multiple themed family rooms that house a café, art space and library. This new 33,000 sf childcare center was designed and executed by JHW while an Associate at CUH2A, Inc.
